4th of July at Deadwood

The Photo Story:

Our family spent the 4th of July weekend in the central mountains of Idaho at Deadwood Reservoir which provided a wonderful opportunity to capture some dark sky images over the water. This image, like so many others, was a happy accident after my first two ideas for a safe and available location to shoot turned out to be occupied by campers.  Not wanting to disturb anyone at 2:00 a.m., I ventured back to our own camp spot and hiked down to the water where this view was waiting for me, only a hundred yards from my tent.

• Canon R5 with 14mm lens
• One Image taken at 20-second exposure

My Recommendation:
This print hangs beautifully on the wall as a Metal Print at 18×24 or larger.  No frame is necessary with the metal print as it floats off the wall just a bit and creates it’s own sense of a frame with a slight shadow.

It ships directly to your door from the print house in California.  Shipping costs are quite reasonable, around $20.
